Dashboards
Explore core metrics, trends, expectations, and dimensional breakdowns in Sundial dashboards.
Dashboards are where your team aligns on core metrics: their definitions, recent values, and how they are trending. Even in the age of AI, dashboards remain the centralized place to watch what matters, and a natural starting point for deeper questions.
Where to find it
Open a dashboard from your workspace. From there you can pick metrics, compare them side by side, and deep-dive into a single metric.
What you can do
- Compare metrics: place several metrics side by side and see current values and recent period changes at a glance.
- See expectations: Sundial models seasonality, holidays, and trends so you can tell whether a metric is above or below expectations, not only whether it moved.
- Filter and break down: apply filters and cut metrics by a dimension to compare segments in one view.
- Deep-dive a metric: open a metric over a longer time range, cut it by dimension, and inspect the shape of the series.
From a dashboard to an answer
When something unexpected shows up (for example a sudden spike on a particular day), a natural next step is to ask why. From there, open the Analysis Agent and ask a question such as what drove the change. Common questions like metric-change analysis are handled by playbooks so the agent follows a consistent methodology instead of improvising.
